What Matters Most? Let’s make this the theme of life.
‘What Matters Most?’ – Let’s make this the theme of your life
It is National Palliative Care Week here in Australia and the theme this year is: “What Matters Most?”
What a fantastic thing to think about.
“What Matters Most?”
Here at Spritz Mindset our mission is to inspire, raise awareness, educate and support people, team and organisations to get clear on what they want and to teach them how to create the mindset needed to execute their goals successfully.
Bronnie Ware, a Palliative Care Nurse, published a book called “The Top Five Regrets of the Dying” which highlighted the top 5 regrets for people in the last 12 weeks of life.
Often stopping and thinking about ‘What Matters Most?” is avoided in most until it is suddenly necessary.
Today give yourself the opportunity to get real with yourself. Become aware of what is important to you. This isn’t about what your partner wants, what your children want, what you think your parents would want. Ask yourself the question –
What matters most to you?
As published in Ware’s book these are the 5 biggest regrets people have at the end of life:
1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
2. I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.
3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.
Most of you will brush over this and not really give it much thought today.
Your busy, working hard, juggling relationships, work, kids, cooking dinners, we get it. But can you also see how we get caught up in the doing of life that we totally lose sight of what matters most.
STOP and take a breath. What is it all for?
We @spritzmindset are hosting an intimate Masterclass at the end of the month, teaching people how to get clear on what is really important to them. This is your opportunity to take some TIME OUT from the fog of ‘doing’ and really check in with how your life is unfolding for you. If you really want to get into the driver’s seat of your life, lead your future and avoid having these regrets then check out the link below to read more.
There is never a right time, there is only now, so decide today to start doing something about it today.
You are worth it.
Keep being awesome,
Team @ Spritz Mindset
